Yaesu FTX-1 / FTX-1F

The FTX-1 and FTX-1F connect via USB-C providing dual virtual COM ports and a built-in USB audio codec. No external audio interface or CAT cable is required. USB setup: Connect a USB-C cable. The radio presents two virtual COM ports — COM1 (Enhanced/CAT-1) for CAT control, COM2 (Standard/CAT-2) for hardware PTT via RTS/DTR. Install the Silicon Labs CP210x dual-channel driver on Windows. Linux and macOS detect both ports automatically. CAT: Yaesu 5-byte command format. Frequency, mode, PTT, VFO control, S-meter readback. Default baud rate 38400. Audio: Built-in USB audio codec. Set the modulation input to USB in the radio menu. No external audio interface needed. PTT: Key PTT via CAT command on COM1 or via RTS/DTR on COM2. Do not enable both methods simultaneously.
