QYT KT-8900D

The KT-8900D is an inexpensive quad-display dual-band FM mobile often pressed into service as a budget node radio. It has no CAT — interface at the microphone and speaker. Audio: Receive audio from the external speaker jack to your USB audio interface input; transmit audio to the microphone audio line. PTT: Active-low PTT on the RJ-45 microphone connector — drive it from your interface's PTT output. Programming: Set frequency and CTCSS with CHIRP (supported) or QYT software before deployment. Watch transmit audio levels: cheap mobiles overdeviate easily, so calibrate carefully.
