PoE / PoE+ HAT

A PoE (802.3af) or PoE+ (802.3at) HAT powers a Raspberry Pi 4/5 directly from a Power-over-Ethernet switch or injector, over the same cable that carries the network. Why it matters: At a tower or remote shelter, running a single Ethernet cable for both data and power simplifies the install and makes remote power-cycling (via a managed PoE switch) possible — a big reliability win for a node you can't easily visit. Note: Match the HAT to the Pi (Pi 5 draws more; use a PoE+ HAT rated for it) and confirm the HAT's fan clears your case.
