Kenwood TK-805D

The TK-805D is a commercial VHF or UHF mobile radio commonly used as a link radio in repeater systems. It has no computer CAT interface — control is entirely via the accessory connector using GPIO lines. PTT: Connect PTT input (active low) to a GPIO output on your node computer. Pull the line to ground to transmit. COS: Connect the BUSY/COS output to a GPIO input. Active when squelch opens. Audio: Take flat discriminator audio from the accessory connector directly to your USB audio interface input. Feed transmit audio back through the accessory connector audio input. Consult the TK-805D service manual for exact pin assignments as they vary by model variant. Programming: Program frequency and CTCSS via Kenwood KPG software (clone cable required). Frequency cannot be changed by ORLP at runtime.
