Kenwood TH-D74A

The TH-D74A is a D-STAR/APRS handheld (predecessor to the TH-D75A) usable as a personal-node radio (use FM for analog ORLP). It connects via micro-USB or Bluetooth. USB setup: Micro-USB presents a virtual COM port for Kenwood CAT control and a KISS-mode TNC. Use ORLP's Kenwood CAT driver for frequency/mode. Bluetooth: Supports Bluetooth SPP for serial CAT and KISS TNC — pair as KENWOOD TH-D74, equivalent to the USB serial connection. Audio: As an HT, interface receive/transmit audio and PTT via the speaker/mic accessory jacks into a USB audio interface. PTT and COS: Via serial CAT commands over USB or Bluetooth SPP, or active-low PTT on the accessory jack.
