Icom ID-880H

The ID-880H is a 2m/70cm FM + D-STAR mobile. Control is CI-V — connect a CT-17 level converter or a USB-to-CI-V cable (CP210x/FTDI) to the node computer. There is no built-in USB codec, so receive/transmit audio comes from the rear ACC/DATA connector to a USB radio interface (DMK URI, RA-series DRA, RIM, etc.). PTT: key over CI-V, or from the interface's PTT line to the ACC connector. Set the CI-V address before deployment. For an analog ORLP node, operate the radio in FM (analog) mode — do not link D-STAR digital audio into an analog node.
