Icom IC-905

The IC-905 is a VHF/UHF/SHF all-mode radio (144/430/1200/2400/5600 MHz, plus 10 GHz with the optional transverter). The controller head connects to the RF unit over an Ethernet cable; the controller exposes USB for CI-V plus a USB audio codec, and a LAN port for full headless remote operation — well suited to a remote ORLP node. USB setup: Connect a USB-C cable from the controller to your node computer for CI-V CAT and the built-in USB audio codec. Confirm the CI-V address and USB baud rate in the Connectors menu (Icom assigns a model-specific default — verify before deploying alongside other Icom rigs). Audio: Built-in USB audio codec; no external interface needed. PTT: Key via CI-V command over USB, or over LAN when running fully remote.
