Icom IC-7610

The IC-7610 is a popular HF/6m SDR base radio for ORLP base/remote-base nodes. A single USB-B cable carries both CI-V CAT control and a built-in USB audio codec — no external audio interface is required. USB setup: Connect a USB-A to USB-B cable. Windows needs the Silicon Labs CP210x driver from Icom; Linux and macOS detect it automatically. CI-V address defaults to 98h. To run CI-V faster than 19200 over USB, set Connectors > CI-V > CI-V USB Port to "Unlink from Remote", then set CI-V USB Baud Rate (up to 115200). Set CI-V Transceive to OFF for stable polling. Audio: Built-in USB audio codec. Set DATA1 MOD = USB and route AF output to USB in the menu. Configure ORLP's audio device to the IC-7610 USB Audio CODEC. PTT: Key via CI-V command over USB, or use USB Keying (RTS/DTR) on the virtual COM port.
