Icom IC-7100

The IC-7100 is an HF/6m/2m/70cm all-mode radio with a detachable touch controller and D-STAR — a strong multi-band ORLP node radio. A single USB-B cable carries CI-V and the built-in codec. For an analog ORLP node, operate the radio in FM (analog) mode — do not link D-STAR digital audio into an analog node. Connects over a single USB cable carrying both CI-V CAT control and a built-in USB audio codec — no external audio interface is required. Windows needs Icom's Silicon Labs CP210x driver; Linux and macOS detect it automatically. In the Connectors (USB) menu, confirm the CI-V address and USB baud rate and route data-mode audio to USB. PTT: key via CI-V command, or via USB RTS/DTR on the virtual COM port.
